Allocation and its sharing

Allocation is a important element of every Task. Allocation is a number of hours, that Owner enters to solve the Task. It is good to have control over how many hours your employees spend on Tasks. Allocation behaves differently depending on whether we have only Assignee, or Assignee & Participant, or Assignee, Participant & Sub-tasks.

The first case is the situation, that task has only Assignee. In this case, Assignee gets the entire entered allocation for Task. In this example, Travis Freklaz gets 4 hours for the Task solution.

The second case is the situation, that Task has Assignee & Participant. The Participant will co-work with the Assignee on the Task, they need to share the allocation of the Task. The allocation is 4 hours and it will be divided between Assignee and Participant. 4 hours/(Assignee + Participant) = 2 hours for both of them. Travis Freklaz gets 2 hours for the Task solution, John Smith get also 2 hours for the Task solution.

The third case is the situation, that Task has Assignee & Participant and Sub-task. The Participant will co-work with the Assignee on the Task, they need to share the allocation of the Task. The Sub-task also need the part of the Task’s allocation. The Sub-task’s allocation is 1 hour, then the allocation of the main Task is reduced to 3 hours. The 3 hours will be divided between the Assignee & Participant. The 3 hours/(Assignee + Participant) = 1 hour 30 mins. Travis Freklaz (Assignee of main task) gets 1 hour 30 mins for the Task solution, just like John Smith (Participant) has 1 hour 30 mins for the Task solution. Joshua Piatek (Assignee of sub-task) gets 1 hour for the Sub-task solution, what is the allocation of the Sub-task.
